FAQ
What is open interest?
Open interest is the total value of futures positions that have not been closed. Rising OI with rising price usually means new long money; falling OI usually means positions being closed or liquidated.
What does the OI to market cap ratio show?
A higher ratio means more leveraged money relative to spot value, which makes cascading liquidations more likely when price moves.
